Alex McCay, Elder
Alex McCay is the associate pastor of church planting at Christ Fellowship. He was born in South Carolina and spent most of his teenage years in North Carolina. After graduating from High School, Alex attended college at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in history. After graduation, Alex intended to pursue law school, but the Lord began to grow his affection for the local church and desire for pastoral ministry. As a member of his church in Charlotte, NC, Alex began his theological education through the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) while working for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. As he neared the completion of his MDiv, Alex was brought onto the pastoral staff of Hickory Grove Baptist Church to serve as the pastor of college discipleship. In the Spring of 2025, Alex and his wife, Melissa, moved to Washington, D.C., for him to participate in an internship at Capitol Hill Baptist Church. The Lord has blessed Alex and his wife, Melissa, with a beautiful daughter, Lucy Ann. Alex has experienced God's sovereign goodness in many ways, fueling his passion to build up the local church and, by God's grace, further Christ's Kingdom.
