Eli Thomas,

Church Ministry Resident

Eli was raised in a Christian home in upstate New York. He was taught the gospel early and had multiple professions of faith as a child, all of which were empty. His early teen years were marked by a love for sin and a disregard for God. This continued until one of his brothers called him out for his false profession, telling him that nothing in his life signified he followed Jesus. He began to wonder what following Jesus truly meant, and after listening to many sermons online, he understood that he was a sinner and believed in Christ for salvation. After high school, Eli felt a call to ministry and moved to Louisville, Kentucky to study at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he met and married his wife Sarah in 2024. After graduating from Southern with his Masters of Divinity in 2026, Eli and Sarah came to Christ Fellowship, where he works as the Church Ministry Resident, primarily serving with the youth. As a teenager who was brought from death to life by Jesus, Eli longs to see the young people of Christ Fellowship turn to Christ for salvation and delight in him for the rest of their lives.
